Programs for 4th-8th graders
Older children need a space that honors both their growing independence and their need for belonging. With Macie as their guide, 4th–8th graders find both structure and freedom - space to master academics while also exploring their creativity and curiosity.

Hey, I'm Macie!
I've spent 22 years teaching grades 6–12 in public schools as a teacher, dean of students, and curriculum coach. I left the system to create a space where learning could be innovative, supportive, and joyful. My passion is helping struggling and disengaged learners rediscover their confidence.

Flourish Learning began with a simple but powerful vision: to create a learning community where children could thrive outside of the traditional system. Too often, kids feel like problems to be solved rather than people to be seen. We wanted to change that.
By blending structure with freedom, and academics with creativity, we’ve built a space where children rediscover the joy of learning. Here, curiosity is not only welcomed, it’s celebrated.

What are Fun Fridays?
Fun Fridays are weekly gatherings full of hands-on projects, field trips, guest speakers, games, and social connection. They’re designed to bring joy and community while sparking curiosity and friendships.
Do you replace my child’s school?
Not necessarily. Some families use Flourish Learning full-time, while others join a couple days a week to complement homeschooling or to supplement traditional schooling. We offer flexible enrollment options to fit your family’s needs.
How do I know if this is the right fit for my child?
The best way is to schedule a parent call with Macie. We’ll talk about your child’s needs, your family’s goals, and how our learning community can support both. Our goal is always to create a safe, joyful space where learning feels alive again.
Are you a homeschool co-op or a tutoring service?
We’re not a traditional co-op or a one-on-one tutoring service. Flourish Learning is a learning community designed for 4th–8th graders.
